If I could describe it all with one sentence or two or three, I would… but what I’m trying to create here is just a lot.

It’s a culmination of a few things I love: my kids, family, writing, my writing career, life and of course, astrology (yes, that’s a big piece).

I started on this particular blogging journey a few years ago, when I first started thinking of ways of combining my worlds, to put myself forward again through writing. I hadn’t yet had my son. I hadn’t yet been a full-time reporter. I hadn’t yet even purchased my own home. I hadn’t yet done a lot of things.

But I knew I wanted to combine it all––somehow and someway––the culmination of life so far. Because, let’s be real, isn’t that often how we see ourselves? There are no fragments to who we are and how we live and especially when it comes to the spiritual.

This isn’t about self-help stuff. There are tons of books out there on that. What I want to do here is experiment with life through writing.

So let’s do this. Again, I guess.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be launching several key projects and programs that combine the writing going on here to general communities. We have a pen pal program in the works with a nursing home and community center. We’re also plotting a Parenting With the Moon workshops for families. It’s where I’ll share different ways to use the moon and lunar cycle to help us connect with our children. I’ll share tips and ideas I’ve developed and learned with my teen and preschooler. There are more fall workshops in the works, too.

The goal, which is what this long-winded post is trying to describe, is to build different communities and groups to help foster an appreciation for astrology, what it offers and how to better our writing and selves through it as a process.
